The numerous pebbles and small holes and cracks are rugged to the touch, but the surface sometimes shows delicacy from the minuscule reflections of light.
The white straw ash glaze was originally mixed with iron, or perhaps the straw ash was mixed with iron glaze and applied in a sink pattern, giving an inventive view as if enjoying the fluctuation of the expansion and contraction of the glaze.
If the parts that appear to be fired are coated with glaze, is it a thin Kimachi glaze or an iron glaze?
There is no doubt that this is a work that asks questions of the viewer, and it seems to me that even when arranging flowers, we are required to challenge ourselves as if we are following the edge of the questions and answers.

About the box
In principle, we include a paulownia box in the selling price of our pottery.
In some cases, the box is left with the calligraphy by the late Baisei Yamamoto, and in other cases, the box is newly made. Please understand that it may take some time for us to make a new box. -
About Shokeizan-yaki
くわしくはこちらShokeizan Kiln is said to have been founded as far back as the Bunsei Era. In Shimane Prefecture, the kiln had a 14-stage climbing kiln at the end of a mountain road in the Kohama district of Yunotsu Town, and was one of the oldest Iwami ware kilns.
